Job Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude, answer any questions, and assist them with product selection when necessary.
- Accurately scan items, total purchases, and accept various forms of payment (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments).
- Ensure the correct change is given, and maintain an accurate cash register and drawer.
- Keep the cashier station neat, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., bags, receipt paper).
- Process returns or exchanges according to store policies, and handle customer complaints professionally.
- Adhere to store policies for cash handling, fraud prevention, and security.
- Be knowledgeable about the store’s products, promotions, and policies to assist customers effectively.
- Promote additional products, sales, or services when appropriate.
- Assist in restocking, inventory checks, or other tasks as needed by the team.
Job Requirements:
- Basic math, customer service, communication, and multitasking.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate amounts of weight, and operate a cash register.
